My advice to a beginning artist is to learn to draw freely and develop your unique style. After approximately 1,000 works, you develop a distinct style which you can differentiate from other artists. This often starts as a small detail that develops over time into a unique signature or artistic handwriting. The main thing when drawing is to enjoy your work; if you don't, you'll soon lose interest.

There are many excellent vector drawing tools, some of which have very extensive capabilities, but I believe this level of automation has a negative impact on an artist's development. For example, while Adobe Illustrator is one of the most powerful tools, I don't like it; it has too much automation and, at the same time, can compromise individual style.

Affinity Designer is a less automated program, but it has all the qualities for strong artistic development. There are also unique programs like Inkscape, which also have very rich tools. However, Affinity Designer wins with one key advantage: it is the most productive and controllable vector program I have ever used.
